By default all manner of equipment, save for jewellery, provides atleast some amount of Physical armour. It is the most commonly utilised by Warrior classes due to their need to engage their foes in close combat. Physical armour is what protects character from physical attacks done by swords, unenchanted arrows, physical hazards and offensive necromancer spells utilising blood. There are two types of Armour in Divinity: Original Sin II Physical armour which protects from physical damage and Magic armour which protects from elemental damage. With the exception of Piercing Damage, which will always damage Vitality, armour protects from almost all types of damage from nearly all manner of sources. Armour is both the equipment inhabitants of Rivellon wear to protect themselves and the value which indicates how much damage they can take before their Vitality will be reduced.
